CARLOS ACOSTA'S NUTCRACKER IN HAVANA

Carlos Acosta’s NUTCRACKER IN HAVANA is a timeless

classic, reimagined through the rhythm, soul, and sunlight

of Cuba.

A beloved winter fairytale is reborn under Caribbean

skies. In Nutcracker in Havana, Carlos Acosta transforms

Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s iconic ballet into a vibrant Cuban

celebration - where snow falls in Havana, and dreams

dance to the pulse of Latin rhythms.

Pepe Gavilondo Peón reimagines Tchaikovsky’s music with

Latin jazz, Cuban rhythms, and vibrant orchestration.

Familiar melodies return - transformed with warmth,

color, and irresistible energy.

Classical ballet meets Cuban soul. Acosta blends:

academic classical technique, Afro-Cuban movement,

contemporary dance & social and street influences.

The result: a language of movement that is both virtuosic

and alive!
